Monday Moment - Big News!

Big news... from a big boy!

Hayden goes potty now! Except for bedtime he is in underwear all the time! He's trying really hard to stay dry at night.
This morning he came in my room and said, " Potty Mommy, Dry Mommy?" I checked... "No Hayden, Not dry." To which Hayden said, "OH MAN!" At least He's trying on that one!
(There was a video posted, but I deleted it... weird things were going on with it!)

Go Hayden! That is awesome work.

Karen, what I did with Rachel when she 1st stopped wearing diapers at night- she had 2 dry ones in a row, then the 2nd night not wearing a diaper she peed the bed. My s-i-l suggested waking her up before I went to bed so she could go.
So I'd pull her out of bed, carry her to the bathroom, pull her pants down, set her on the potty, wipe her after & reverse above steps.
My husband gave me a hard time about it; asking me stuff like how long was I going to keep that up, etc. When I ran out of diapers at the beginning of the month of March I told Emily no more diapers. We had a few more wet beds with her & when I tried to take her to the bathroom she would start pitching a fit(not waking up of course)any where from the moment I pulled her out of bed to setting her on the potty. Now I don't bother to wake either of them. (I kind of miss it, because I'd hug & kiss on them; but they were starting to get too heavy.)
So I said all that to suggest maybe trying that w/Hayden; especially if he's trying to be dry at night. If changing the sheets every night is too much, I'd try pullups.
I know he'll get to that point soon enough, especially trying so hard.

Katie wasn't dry right away at night either...it was on and off for about a month...the last for the last several months she's only had 2 accidents at night. So hopefully as he gets used to holding it all day he'll train himself to hold it at night too!

Congratulations!!! 2 down, 1 to go! :)

I LOVED it when the boys we all done with diapers and pull-ups... almost as much as I enjoyed saying goodbye to 4 carseats!

but then, you realize how fast they grow up... and wouldn't mind it lasting just a bit longer.

About Kung Fu Panda... We had a total of 5 kids at the theatre - ages 3-7. All three boys, ages 3, 4 and 5 sat mesmerized through the whole thing! Sara was the only one who got up and/or wiggled around - but, that's just Sara...:-) I don't know Hayden that well, but I'm guessing he'd do pretty good. Bryan would like it too! There might even be some bamboo in there somewhere! :-)

That is great! My son, Carter, just became potty trained. So far he is staying dry at night too...I am still too nervous to let him sleep without a pull-up on though. With my luck I bet our first night of sleeping in underwear he will wet the bed! I am sure that you are as excited as I am! I am still having trouble remembering to ALWAYS ask before we get loaded up in the car to go somewhere. We have had to unload ourselves multiple times to run the the potty! When will I learn?
