FORGET ME NOT

So after coming across this blog post I have to share a little of my story!

This might be a little long so stay with me...

After my senior year of high school I joined Life Action to travel (for only ONE year - HA HA).

During my first year and only my Second host home ever we were in Mississippi. I woke up in the middle of the night in INCREDIBLE PAIN and was taken to the ER (by my WONDERFUL roommate at the time - who also made me laugh so hard all those hours we waited for the doctor to come in - Which by the way it is very painful to laugh when you have a messed up appendix! She also pushed WAY TOO many buttons in that room! I think we almost got kicked out! Thanks Jen - I never told you how much to REALLY did help me during that night... seriously - THANKS!) I had to have an emergency appendectomy and my parents flew down in time for me to come out of surgery and then took me home to recover. While at home I got worse and had to be hospitalized for over a week due to the infection that had not been correctly treated due to the "slow leak" from my "ruptured" appendix!

After my complete recovery one of the doctor's commented that due to the MASSIVE infection I may never have children (HA HA - we know WHO's in control of that!)

Bryan and I married in July 2000 - (makes it easy to remember how many years you've been married when you just think what year it is!)

Skip to 2001 - We found out we were expecting our first child - first grandchild on both sides! (I wasn't "supposed" to be able to get pregnant remember!) Not long after finding out we were expecting I started having problems and had a early miscarriage. This was hard on everyone, but GOD was amazing and gave us such a peace and strength I couldn't imagine! One of my favorite songs during that time was "Glory Baby" by Watermark (which is why it is on my playlist for this blog)

I had never heard the story of the forget-me-not flower. So I decided to place a forget-me-not in my side bar with the other pictures to forget - not! (Even though it was too early to know the gender of the baby.. in my heart I believe it was a girl... so I have 3 boys and 1 girl - or 4 boys if you count Bryan:)

All that to tell you about my side bar picture - sometime I'll have to post about my pregnancy with Carter - that was a HUGE miracle of God's protection! (All three of my boys pregnancies were rough the first 3 months!)

Feel free to use the picture if you too need a "forget-me-not"

What a sweet idea! Maybe I'll use the forget me not to remember our 2 boys in heaven...
