Karen, I feel like that is everyday at my house. I have a question for you. The last post you had you were talking about Hayden giving up vs. not giving up naps. I'm having a bit of an issue here & was curious how you handled it. The girls got up early this am, then were acting crabby. I give them enforced quiet time; which means that they either need to sit in their bed w/some books & a doll or 2 for a couple of hours or if I want them to take a nap put them on the couch w/their lovey & some videos. Today they took a nap. We put them to bed every night between 7-7:30pm. Tonite because of the nap & them not acting tired I pushed it to 7:30; then by the time we did the night time routine it was pretty close to 8pm. It is now 9:40 pm & they are both still AWAKE!!!!! I AM ready to E-BAY THEM!!!! Was just wondering what your take on this was, or if you were having the same issues w/Hayden on days he does take a nap. btw- not every night that they take a nap is like this, but I have noticed that it is much harder to get them to go down on days they get a nap. I'm so torn, because they get so crabby & cranky & whiny! CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!! :) -Gail
and that is why we have 2 washers and 2 dryers at my house.
and...
my FAVORITE punishment- when the boys fight, or use unkind words with each other... they have to decide on a special "act of kindness" that they're willing to do for the brother they offended.
WITHOUT fail... the most requested act -- fold and put away laundry!
AND that... is how we got the boys to be ever so kind to each other and stop bickering.
That laundry is a blessing as they get older! Better than spankings, grounding etc... it's THE HORROR OF LAUNDRY!!!!

Karen, you are too funny! That's the best Monday Moment yet! Happy folding! And what I always say is, "At least they're CLEAN!"
Um yeah... that pile never goes away does it. Ha! I have to say I am a little nervous at the thought of keeping up with laundry for 8 people. Ahhhh!
have fun folding!
